Scholarships
The Hal Ober College Scholarship Fund was recently established in honor of the late Hal Ober, a member of the Jewish Family Service Agency Board of Directors and distinguished leader of the Jewish community. The program is administered through JFSA. For the 2008 - 2009 school year three students are eligible to receive $1000 per semester not to exceed $2000 per year. All submissions will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee.
Minimum requirements:
• Nevada Resident • 3.0 High School GPA • Maintain a 3.0 GPA in college taking a minimum of 12 credits • Pursuing Social Work Degree • Two References (One academic and one personal) • Submit a one page, single spaced essay (Font not to exceed 11 points) What contributions do you plan to make to create a better world? • Ability to volunteer not less than 2 days per semester at JFSA • High School Transcripts • College Transcripts • Valid Nevada Driver License
