JFSA's 11 Years of Significant Growth
The Board of Directors of Jewish Family Service Agency (JFSA) announces that President & CEO Dr. Kenneth Moskowitz is concluding his tenure following 11 years of dedicated service to the organization.
During his tenure, JFSA experienced significant growth, expanding its programs, services, partnerships, and reach throughout Clark County and into rural Nevada. Ken helped guide the organization through a period of growth and expanded community impact, leaving a strong foundation that will support JFSA's continued success for years to come.
"Ken's leadership helped position JFSA for the future while strengthening our ability to serve the community," said Doug Gold, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors. "On behalf of the Board and the entire organization, we thank him for his dedication to JFSA and the people we serve, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter."
As we move forward, the Board has established a comprehensive transition plan focused on maintaining JFSA's commitment and dedication to providing programs and services our community relies upon.
The Board is pleased to announce that Lisa Popovsky, JFSA's Director of Senior Services, has accepted the role of Interim CEO and will work closely with Dr. Kenneth Moskowitz during the transition. A member of the JFSA team for nearly 10 years, Lisa has played a key role in the organization's growth, from securing critical funding, to strengthening the organization’s impact across Southern Nevada and was selected for her institutional knowledge, operational experience, proven leadership, and strong relationships throughout the community.
"I am honored to help lead JFSA through this transition," said Popovsky, "and am grateful to Ken for his leadership and the strong foundation he helped build. Our focus remains on our mission, our clients, and ensuring the programs and services our community relies upon continue without interruption."
Details regarding the search for JFSA's next President & CEO will be shared as they are finalized. JFSA's senior leadership team will continue serving as the primary day-to-day contacts for staff, funders, partners, and community stakeholders throughout this transition.
More than ever, we are focused on serving and supporting our community.
Our mission and commitment to the community remain unchanged.
JFSA has a strong foundation, built through years of growth in our people, programs, infrastructure and community reach.

As JFSA approaches its 50th anniversary in 2027, the Board is focused on building upon this strong foundation by expanding access to programs and services, strengthening community partnerships, increasing JFSA’s reach and visibility, and building the infrastructure necessary to serve a growing and evolving community for years to come.
Celebrating 50 Years in 2027
Next year, JFSA will celebrate five decades of service to our community, honoring the people, partnerships, and impact that have shaped our organization while looking ahead to the opportunities and impact of the next 50 years.
We are deeply grateful to our donors, grantors, community partners, volunteers, staff and supporters for their continued trust and partnership.
Together, we look forward to building on JFSA’s legacy of service and continuing to meet the evolving needs of our community.
